Serious incident Bexleyheath Broadway

Good morning

I am writing to provide an update regarding an incident that happened locally this weekend in Bexleyheath.

On Sunday, 4 January at 02:15hrs, police were called to reports of a shooting outside the Arcadia Bar and Lounge on Broadway, Bexleyheath.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 30-year-old man for a gunshot wound before taking him to hospital. We await an update on his condition.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at the scene. He was taken to hospital due to his injuries. 

I want to reassure you that your local officers are working alongside specialist officers to progress this investigation.

We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, has mobile phone footage, or was in the vicinity of Arcadia Bar and Lounge between 01:45 hrs and 02:30 hrs to come forward.
